Kamilya Jubran and Sarah Murcia have known each other for over a decade and have already had fruitful artistic collaborations. Sarah's rich musical experiences, well-versed in jazz and contemporary music, serve as a source of inspiration and enrichment for Kamilya, who seeks an original expression between voice and oud, conscious of the necessity for her music to draw from the breath of others. Sarah's talent, open-mindedness, and ability to grasp the essence of other cultures, along with the determination of both artists to find their own paths, form the foundation of a profound musical understanding.

By revisiting classical Arab roots, selecting compositions from Kamilya's album 'Makan,' and embarking on new adventures, they weave together a temporal arc, interwoven with their threads, sounds, and rhythms, simultaneously diverse and harmonious. Revisiting classical Arab roots with 'Hayati' (my life) – a tribute to Sayed Darwich, an Egyptian composer and lyrical singer from 1892 to 1923; delving into selected compositions from Kamilya's album 'Makan' with 'Suwar' (images) and 'Lafdh' (words) – texts by Salman Masalha from Jerusalem; and venturing into new adventures with 'Kam' (how much) – a text by Hassan Najmi from Morocco, and 'Une suite nomade' – texts from Bedouin oral traditions; all of these form a carefully deciphered journey arranged by Sarah for a string trio. Kamilya and Sarah create this musical voyage together.
